FINE HARNESS HORSE
Title of Bronze sculpture shown below: TRIUMPH

The Fine Harness Horse has long been valued in world history. Horses were needed and well-used partners in man kind's efforts to establish his civilizations. The horse though, as we know today, provides far more than utility . His elegance and style have become in many cases a symbol for our own and in fact, the pride of driving a 'finer' and more stylish horse was established in the heart of man only shortly after the fact of the horse's powers of utility. In these days, the horse is often driven for pleasure, but in the world of the show ring, the most elegant horse in harness is the Fine Harness Horse.

In Fine Harness classes the horse displays more animation and brilliance than in other driving classes and the horse sports a natural mane and tail, hitched to a four wheeled buggy and performs at an animated walk, and an elegant but animated park trot. Manners and brilliance are top considerations in judging. How does the horse "wear the harness" and look through the bridle? Does he displays high style along with manners? Such horses are valued for elegance and animated movements and style, over speed.

Patricia Crane has been sculpting horses for decades and her work is well-known, being in many private, public and museum collections in many countries of the world. Her Fine Harness Horse bronze, displayed below, is a museum quality bronze, and an unusual collector's sculpture, showing the horse 'set up' and sporting the tri-color of a champion. Other art works, in many sculpture media may be viewed by using the menu from the Homepage, or by returning to the Bronze Gallery.

The Fine Harness Horse is the peacock of the show ring. His
harmony of motion and form are unimpeachable. His entrance into
the show ring brings restrained fieriness combined with the
elegance of a by-gone day. This harness horse is proudly
sporting the tri-color of a champion.
